Seren Moran was born in in Berkeley, California. Seren studied abroad at the highly competitive art program at the original Leonardo da Vinci School of Art, L'Accademia di Bella Arte, in Florence Italy. In 2011, Seren graduated from San Diego State University's Fine Arts Program, with an emphasis in painting, and was the only undergraduate to receive the annual Art Council Scholarship that year.
Seren has exhibited extensively, both nationally and internationally, with exhibitions in Italy and Brazil, including a solo show at the Salto Museum in the state of Sao Paulo. In 2015, Seren was invited to exhibit at Art Spectrum Miami, as part of Miami’s Art Basel Week, and was the cover artist for Art Span's San Francisco’s Open Studios catalog 2016-2017.
Seren has also recently been granted public art opportunities including a commissioned 80 ft mural for the City of Richmond, CA and currently has 28 paintings on display at UC Berkeley’s International House.
Although a Bay Area native, Seren has spent two years living abroad, one year in Italy and one year in Brazil. In both countries, Seren immersed herself in the cultures, learned the languages and allowed these diverse experiences to greatly influence the direction of her work. She is now attending Virginia Commonwealth University to receive her MFA in Painting.
